Sam's Corner
Contemplations on Life and Relationships
by Sam Sligar
Welcome to Sam's Corner
“Sam’s Corner” was created in the early 1990’s as a monthly article that was published in numerous church newsletters for many years.
In
2008 I published a collection of these articles titled "Me, You, Us, and
Life". At that time I simply ordered several thousand copies thinking
that number would last as long as I needed.
I was wrong, and after ten years, all of the books were gone. In 2018, I published the tenth anniversary edition. The new title is "Reflections on Me, You, Us and Life".
The world of publishing had changed drastically in ten years, and now the book can be easily purchased at Barnes and Noble..
Some of the articles in the book are found under the “Article Collection” tab as well as several articles which were written since the 2018 book was published.
Elie Wiesel brilliantly describes how I want to see every person who comes to me for counseling.
We must not see any person as an abstraction.
Instead, we must see in every person a universe
with its own secrets,
with its own treasures,
with its own sources of anguish,
and with some measure of triumph.”
